Just to say that I was on the english tour 3 last saturday (03/11/07) and that the guide was fantastic!
Unfortunatly I don't remember her name (and I would like to know it, if it is possible) but for sure her explanations of the story of the city and the bunkers is one of the best memories I brought home from Berlin.
I will recomend the Tour to anyone.
Gracias!

We joined tour 1 last Thursday and enjoyed it so much we also joined tour 3 on the Saturday - both tours were thoroughly interesting and gave a fantastic insight into the lives of the German people throughout WW2 and the Cold War.
Our tour leader was clearly very passionate about her subject and this was evident throughout the whole tour, would recommend attending any of these tours, and should be a ''must do'' on any trip to Berlin........

As an amateur historian focusing on WWII history, I was very fortunate to find your website. You have a facinating story to tell and I wish you all the best in your efforts to locate, document and preserve Berlin's underground. Please keep up the good work and continue to update your site often. I look forward to the day I can visit Berlin and explore these sites with you.

Hello.
first of all my compliments to your important role in keeping high the historical and cultural value of the sites You are studying and bringing available to interested persons.

I have recently been in Berlin and tried to ask around about the underground sites and bunker, but unluckily the answer has always been negative.
I wish in the close future to be able to come back and organize with your help a guided tour.

Thankyou

I really enjoyed your site! My interest was increased with the History channels " Cites of the Underworld " segment on Berlin.
Please cover more sites and put them on your web-site. Thank you,

fascinated by the potential of what lies yet undiscovered! I have had the pleasure of exploring some comparatively small bunkers and associated installations around San Francisco bay and at the mouth of the Golden Gate. Thanks to those dedicated to preserving and exploring these important sites.

I would recommend any visitor with an interest in modern history to visit the Berlin Underworld.
We recently went on 2 tours (only one in Enlgish as we missed the english version of tour2!) and the history was fascinating and the work of the organisation is to be applauded.
Whilst perhaps understandable, it is such a pity that so much of Berlin's history has been eradicated but thankfully the association is trying to piece together what is left and also to allow the public to see both the good and bad elements of it.

Many thanks to the guides and other members of the Underworld.

I had watched a program on t.v., recently showing the preservation of the Berlin Underground. My husband and I will be in Germany, the end of June. We are looking forward to taking a tour. Our dates are unknown at the time, for we are backpacking thru Europe. Keep up the good work! You are keeping history alive. Kind Regards, Julie Elliott

There is a lot of untold history of Berlin...a lot was concealed after the war. This society has unearthed a lot of time capsules. My realatives lived in Germany & Berlin durring the war years and afterwards. There are a lot of secrets told today; such as the flooding of the underground by the Red Army that killed thousands of women and children...life in the bunkers. I first found out of you organization through the History Channel. I will try to set up a tour when I return to Germany.

I was stationed in Berlin with the US Army for 39 months from 62-65. How come I never knew anything about an underground?
If you know my ex-wife, Brigitte Neumann, have her email me.

I learned about your association tonight when I watched the History Channel documentary about the underground bunkers and tunnel complexes below Berlin. My father was in Berlin in 1945 and 1946 during the allied occupation and he did speak a few times briefly about these underground tunnels. I was amazed that the whole thing was so vast in size and even more surprised when parts of it still existed today! I am a historian myself at heart and I think that your association is doing an excellent job at exploring and preserving this amazing bit of history. I do hope that you will be blessed at the job you are doing and I also hope that I will be able to come to Berlin someday myself and get on one of your tours. Thank you so much for doing what you are doing! - Ponch

My father was there in Berlin 30 after the end of the war at about the time of the Potsdam conference. He was a paratrooper and assigned to duty checking trucks and ration trains going into the city. I hope to some day visit Berlin and tour some of the underground facilities and maybe touch some of the places my father had been. I saw the History Channel’s program on cable the other night and it really whetted my appetite for walking through some history.

I first learned of your organization by a History Channel show, Cities of the Underworld. I was in Berlin in the winter of 2005 and I wanted to take a tour like yours but was not able to find one in such a short notice. I can’t wait to go back to Germany and next time I’m in Berlin I will set up a tour with your organization. As a prospective historian I really appreciate what you have come together to protect.
