It is hard to take a place/subject like this one and make it interesting congratulations as you have got it absolutely right! This was 90 mins on 6/01/2012 of a fascinating walk back in time. Robin our guide on tour 3 has the knowledge, passion, energy and delivery to hold your attention and make his subject fizz, with a little comedy thrown in. This is the lecturer you could not wait to listen to in uni! If you do nothing else while in Berlin, do this, unmissable! Thanks for the tour and for preserving this important part of history, we loved it :D

Excellent tour....very informative...simply fascinating.
The non profit organization that has taken on the preservation and restoration of these structures deserves enormous credit. A must see.

We took tour 3 just yesterday and just loved it (if word love is appropriate in this context). We can recommend this tour to everyone more or less interested of history.

My husband booked the tour 3
for 19th november. It was not something i wanted to do i we had so little time in Berlin but as it was only 90 minutes i agreed.
We met outside the berliner-unterwelten building and were taken a short walk to the bunker. No photos are allowed which is a shame but understandable. Our guide was fantastic greek women and not difficult to understand at all. she was a wealth of knowledge and always asked if anyone wanted to ask a question. After spending sometime in this bunker moving from room to room we came out at the underground station and took
the u- bahn to the next stop. Here you cant imagine what is hidden behind the walls of the underground doors. Kitchens fully stocked with bowls and plates. bedrooms with sheets and medical rooms with stretchers.
A full plan in place if the bunker is ever needed.
I would have to say this tour is a must for all myself not wanting to do the tour have come home wanting to know more and when we get chance to visit Berlin again will be sure to do another tour.

I would just like to thank Robin and Mads for two fantastic tours run in October 11. Having first done the Flak Tower tour in June 09 (with Robin) I had always been keen to re-visit Berliner Unterwelten when next in Berlin and was able to do the Breaching the Berlin Wall tour (again with Robin) on a Sunday and the Dark Worlds tour (with Mads) the very next day. In both cases the tours were unbelieveably worthwhile, informative and value for money - and the sense of humour of both guides very welcome! The work the Association does is commendable and as a 20th Century history buff their tours give a real sense of being there. As I said to Mads, he has the job Id die for - and which years ago my careers teacher said would never be possible! Thank you to everyone at Berliner Unterwelten, youre an absolute credit to the city of Berlin and our understanding of its history.

My girlfriend and I did Tours 1, 2 and M in August. I am a history buff, so I knew I would love the tours,
but she also called the tours the highlight of our two week stay in Berlin.
Our guide Robin was really interesting and informative. (We also enjoyed seeing him on TV tonight on the History channel!).
Thanks for all of your great work.

We had a great time on Tour 3 this morning. The guide had answers to all our questions and made the tour very enjoyable. We would definitely take one of the other tours if we are in Berlin and recommend it to all our friends.

please accept my congratulations on your important
work in the preservation of our european history, we
do have some ongoing projects in the u.k. but nothing
as grand as what you are doing. it is a great thought
that when our generation has gone, future generations
will have the opportunity to look back on history, in a
sense of reality we cannot gain from books, I came in-
interested in the bunkers after seeing a documentary
on berlin airport, the underground bunkers were like
pyramids totally preserved, it was fasinating to see
history preserved to this standard.9

wonderful work that you are doing. next time i am in the Berlin area, i would very much like to visit Seelow Heights wtih a guided tour and to see the Museum there. in addition, it would be fascinating to visit the Zossen area to see the bunkers and get a guided tour. is the staff at Berliner Unterwelten involved with such projects or is that under consideration?
congratulations to the staff on the great website and content and the commemoration to victims & continued until complete restoration of good will.

Having recently moved to Berlin I have friends coming to visit fairly regularly and I always make the effort to bring them on the underwelten tours.

I first experienced tour 3 guided by robin and have since been back to do tour 1 , M and tour 3 again guided by Sean, Robin and John.

The passion and charisma the guides have for the subject is infectious. The tours and information are informative and exciting. I really came away wanting to know more and to go back. I cannot recommend these tours enough.

The society and all its staff do an absolutely wonderful job. I will certainly be back to do the rest of the tours and will be sending as many people as I can to visit.

Took Tours 1 & 3 today and will be doing Tour 2 tomorrow.

The guide for both tours was Robin and he did a fantastic job. Not only did he give us the practical information about the bunkers we visted but also the human perspective of what it must have been like. Despite the sombre subject matter he managed to inject humour into the tours where appropriate and this contributed to the overall experience.

If you have any interest in the history of WWII or the Cold War, or just want to experience something different, you should do these tours.

I would like to thank Ms. Schiller and her husband for the great tour (tour F) they gave us this afternoon! She really was really able to transmit her passion for this "bunker" with us, visitors.

All the best,

Katrien

Fantastic tour, fantastic organisation. The highlight of my trip to Berlin. It would be great if there were more online resources available.
