Thank you for such interesting tour. It really gives good impretion of Berlin those times. The guide Tommy was perfect! The only note is she said that soviet solders didn't have identification items. Actually they did, but that was a bad sign to wear it, that's why so mamany soldiers can't be identified now. This information may be interesting for your visitors.
Thanks a lot!
Answer Hello Natalia and Nikolay,

thank you. Yes, we know about that. I think, Tonny meant that the Soviet soldiers did not wear the metal dog tags like the Germans or other soldiers. They often had a kind of a small plastic tube with a paper in it on which the personal dates were written. And, yes, it´s known that they didn´t like to wear it because it was a bad omen. And the second point is that this plastic tube was often used as a cigarette holder and the paper was carried somewhere else so it was not protected and rotten nowadays wen one finds the bones of these people.

A fascinating subject and your site is first class. My son and I will be visiting Berlin on June 8/9/10/11 and are eagerly looking forward to the Gesundbrunnen and Flakturm tours. I hope there will be room for us. We will get there early.

Last week I joined the Cold War tour. Beeing a young man in the eighties when the fear of a neclear war was very relevant, and seeing the bunkers the people of Berlin were supposed to live in if the worst possible should happen was quite scary. Berling Unterwelten is doing a great and important job documenting and educating people on this era in Berlin's history. Thank you.
I recommend this to everyone who is going to Berlin.

I went on Tour 3 as part of a school History GCSE trip to Berlin last Friday (15/2/13) and it was the highlight of the trip! Our guide- Simon- was really knowledgable and funny, and made the bunkers come to life. He gave us lots of facts and figures that will be very useful in our Cold War exam coming up soon.
I would thoroughly recommend this tour, to people of all ages! I can't wait to come back and go on the other tours too.
Thank you!

I just watched a documentary on your work under the streets of Berlin. Fantastic stuff. Thank you for risking life and limb to insure that history is preserved and never forgotten. Be safe and best of luck in future exploration.
Thank you!

In my opinion, this is one of the best things to do while you're in Berlin! The tour 1 is very interesting and the guide is just great, very informative and made the stories come to life. Recommended as a must-do tour if you're in Berlin

I had the pleasure of participating in Tour 1 yesterday and it was truely amazing! Our guide, Robin Williams, was a great guide and made the stories come to life. The 90 minute tour flew by too fast because of the fascinating stories and our guides ability to make history practically happen right in front of us.
Thank you very much for an amazing experience. I will recommend Berliner Unterwelten to friends and family and if I come to Berlin again, I will definitely need to experience the other tours.

We did the tour 3. First we had to walk to the bunkers. Then we had the tour. The tour was a LOT of talk about history and just a few simple plane bunker rooms. The guide talked a lot about greece politics, and pointed out some maps with her flash light.
I shoulnt recoment this to young people. You should be aloud to walk around freely and make pictures.
Greetings,
Josef buurt Henk von Perenstijnen

Fascinating. Can you update me via e-mail? Were there lines in Treptow that were severed during 1961-1990 period? Best,John Carr
